Phoenix and Scottsdale

Introduction to Phoenix and Scottsdale
One of the most popular winter destinations in the US, Phoenix, and the adjacent  Scottsdale, is the fifth-largest city in the country. Set in the middle of the desert, surrounded by rocky summits, cactus-covered uplands, and distinctive mountains, the city is really moving forward.   Greater Phoenix metropolitan area, known as the Valley of the Sun, has a bustling city center, fabulous shopping, vibrant nightlife, excellent resort hotels and spas, top-class restaurants, fine museums, and any number of golf courses.
